The Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival in Des Moines, Iowa has been going strong for two years and now we’re taking it on the road to several cities around the United States during the summer of 2009! The Bacon Tour will bring together bacon enthusiasts for a celebration of all things bacon. This is one of the most fun ways to spend a day eating bacon! There are a limited number of tickets available for this event, so reserve your spot today.

The first stop of this half day festival dedicated to the Best Meat Ever will be held at Renee’s Grand Tavern in Phoenix, Arizona from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Location:
Renee’s Grand Tavern
2448 W. Grand Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona
(24th Drive and Grand Ave, just east of I-17. If coming from I-17, take the Thomas exit and turn right at the La Quinta Inn.)

Tickets:
$35 per person in advance, $40 per person at the door
Ticket includes:
-admission to the event
-a copy of the book “Bacon: A Love Story” by Heather Lauer, author of the blog BaconUnwrapped.com
-several delicious bacon appetizers
-two beverage tickets (bottled beer or well drinks)

Bacon Tour events are also being planned this summer for the following cities: New York City, Minneapolis, Washington DC, Boise, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas and Chicago. If you can’t make it to the Phoenix event, more dates will be announced soon so stay tuned!
