Ingredients

Fried Bacon
1 lb thick sliced bacon, cut in half
1 egg
1/2 cup milk (or cream or half & half)
1/2 cup flour
spices (optional)
oil (for frying)
Cream Gravy
3 tablespoons drippings or butter
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons heavy cream (whipping)
salt and pepper, heavy on the pepper

Directions
1 Heat oil in a frying pan over med-high heat.
2 Whisk egg and milk together in a bowl.
3 Place flour in another bowl - season it if you'd like (garlic, pepper, salt, lemon, cajun, etc.).
4 Double dip - first in the egg mixture, then into the flour and repeat.
5 Fry in oil until golden brown.
6 Serve with cream gravy for dipping; also good served with steak.
7 To make cream gravy: Put drippings or butter in a sauce pan over med-high heat. Whisk in the flour until well blended; cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, until bubbly. Remove from heat and gradually add milk whisking constantly; return to heat & whisk until the gravy thickens; Whisk in the cream, salt & pepper.

Oh it's worse...can I get a link on the blogosphere link page? I'm www.iheartbaconsalt.com I put bacon on everything...I just had bacon-wrapped hot wings and applewood Bacon Salt on a nice cucumber and tomato salad for dinner. The wife and I live in/manage a group home for two MHMR clients and they think I'M the nutty one. They're probably right, but they loved it too.

Oh, my wife and I are always telling them they need advertising. When you go to Sodolak's Country Inn, the sign's almost unreadable, it's in the middle of nowhere, and there's no neon lights or anything to let you know that they have the ultimate bacon appetizer. I would have t-shirts, stickers, caps, and anything else I could sell. Instead, it's just a regular item on the menu next to mozzarella sticks as if there's nothing spectacular about it.

I'd be serving it with peanut butter and honey, chocolate syrup, gravy, on a salad as an entree, on nachos, as a pie crust on a fine cheesecake and more! I would have solid gold deep-fried bacon necklace charms, bacon belts...the ideas are nonstop.

I'd even sell it frozen on the internet.. just throw it in the oven!
